Robert Dillman founded NEVO Driving Academy in 2012. He operated an award-winning, behind-the-wheel-focused driver training academy in several large markets before closing NEVO to work as a Security Driver Training Instructor for the Department of State. Operating out of the Foreign Affairs Security Training Center, Robert quickly established himself as a subject matter expert and team lead for the Driver Training Unit. In the DTU, Robert wrote the continuum for new instructor training, helped draft the internal operating procedure, and redesigned the curriculum for special agents and the foreign affairs community. After several years, Robert transitioned out of the driving industry to manage the Professional Development Program for FASTC, where he oversaw a 250+ instructor cadre for annual compliance, training, and instructor development. In this new role, Robert and a team of instructional systems designers developed a program offering that achieved Federal Law Enforcement Training and Accreditation (FLETA Accreditation) for FASTC. 

Robert began working to relaunch NEVO Driving Academy in the Fall of 2024 with a new mission and a new team of experts.
