Instructional Systems Designer
Description
NEVO Driving Academy is seeking an Instructional Systems Designer with documented experience developing and delivering ILT and WBT programs. This position requires expert knowledge of adult learning theories, methods, strategies, technologies, and best practices. The incumbent must be able to independently develop entry—and advanced-level courses using a variety of multimedia technology and authoring tools.
Duties
Conducts front-end analysis for instructional requirements that align with provided standards.
Develop a plan and timeline to create instructional documentation; products may include, but are not limited to, ISD admin documentation, storyboards, narrative scripts, graphics, textbooks, tests, and scenario proposals.
Design and develop curriculum, total course materials for participants and facilitators, including outlines, handouts, facilitator guides, performance exercises, evaluations, activities, job aids and all other required materials.
Gather and analyze input from Subject Matter Experts to develop and modify instructional material.
Logically organize complex technical information and transform complex bodies of information into professionally designed, engaging, and effective programs.
Must be resourceful, self-motivated, and professional with attention to detail and a focus on exceeding expectations.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines as required.
Strong interpersonal skills are required.
Possess strong written communication skills, including accurate grammar and document preparation.
Assists with revisions to curricula as necessary to continuously improve NEVO quality and effectiveness.
Collaborates effectively across multiple departments to maintain alignment and drive success.
Physical Demands
The employee must frequently stand or sit for extended periods while working with a computer, phone, and written tools. The employee must occasionally lift 25 pounds and carry up to 10 pounds. Other duties as assigned
Applicants must be prepared to complete other non-ISD tasks.
Conduct train-the-trainer sessions on course/program updates.
Assist with internal LMS needs.
Attend program pilots.
Serves as a liaison and representative for NEVO Driving Academy.
Must be comfortable appearing on camera in a speaking role.

Experience
A master's degree in instructional design or a related field from an accredited college or university or a combination of education and experience is required.
3 or more years working in an instructional design role, responsible for the end-to-end creation of ILT or WBT programs.
At least 2 years of experience in media development, publishing, and content management. Adobe eLearning Suite (Captivate or Storyline 360, Articulate, Photoshop, etc.)
At least 3 years of experience facilitating focus group discussions and conducting classroom learning seminars and workshops.
LMS administration is desired.
Preferred, but not required
Instructional design experience in the driver training and/or professional development industries.
Experience working with an LMS (uploading SCORM, testing loaded materials, light troubleshooting.)
Compensation
Wage is dependent on your current skill level and qualifications.
Job Type
Part-time with an opportunity to transition to full-time.

Hybrid remote headquartered in Richmond, Virginia.
