NEVO Scholarship Terms and Conditions

Eligibility

The NEVO “Freedom in Progress” Scholarship is open to legal residents of the United States who are currently enrolled in or accepted to an accredited educational institution. Entrants must be at least 15 years of age at the time of entry. Employees, contractors, affiliates, and immediate family members of NEVO Driving Academy are not eligible to participate.

Entry Requirements

To enter, participants must post an original photo that represents their love of driving, travel, or adventure. Submissions must be made via social media with the hashtag #NEVOFreedomInProgress and must tag @NEVODrivingAcademy to be considered. By submitting an entry, participants grant NEVO a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, share, and display the photo and any accompanying captions or statements for marketing, educational, or promotional purposes. Entries must not contain copyrighted material or violate any applicable laws or community standards.

Safe Driving Requirement

All participants must adhere to safe and lawful driving practices when creating or sharing content. NEVO Driving Academy does not condone or encourage any unsafe or illegal behavior on the road.

Entries that depict, suggest, or imply unsafe driving behaviors will be automatically disqualified. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Holding or using a phone or mobile device while driving

  • Texting and driving or any other form of distracted driving

  • Failure to wear a seatbelt by the driver or any passengers

  • Violating traffic laws, signals, or posted speed limits

  • Reckless, aggressive, or impaired driving of any kind

Participants agree that all photos and videos will be taken safely, lawfully, and in compliance with all local and state driving regulations. NEVO reserves the right to disqualify any entry that, in its sole discretion, appears unsafe or inconsistent with the spirit of responsible driving.

Prize

Two (2) winners will each receive a $500 scholarship to be used toward tuition, books, or educational expenses at an accredited institution. The prize is non-transferable and non-exchangeable. NEVO reserves the right to substitute the prize with one of equal or greater value if necessary.

Entries are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year. Scholarship selections will occur during the summer season, with awards delivered by August of that same year.

Selection and Notification

Entries will be judged based on creativity, originality, and how well they reflect the spirit of adventure and responsible driving. The winner will be selected by NEVO’s review panel and notified via direct message or email. If the winner does not respond within seven (7) days, an alternate winner may be chosen.

Publicity and Use of Likeness

By entering, participants consent to NEVO’s use of their name, likeness, photo, and entry for promotional purposes, including publication on NEVO’s website, social media, or other marketing materials, without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.

Liability and Release

By participating, entrants release and hold harmless NEVO Driving Academy, its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability, claims, or damages arising from participation in the scholarship, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, or violation of any traffic or safety laws while creating content for this contest.

Compliance and Agreement

By entering this scholarship contest, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions in full. Entry constitutes acceptance of all rules, decisions, and conditions established by NEVO Driving Academy.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This scholarship and all related disputes shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising under or relating to these Terms and Conditions shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Virginia, which shall serve as the home jurisdiction for all matters concerning this scholarship.

Void Where Prohibited

This scholarship is void where prohibited by law. NEVO reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend the contest at any time if necessary.
