Subject Matter Expert - Driving

Description

As the face of NEVO Driving Academy, our SMEs are held to the highest standards of competency and professionalism.

Duties

  • Plans, organizes, and instructs NEVO curriculum.

  • Provides B2B instructor development training.

  • Must be resourceful, self-motivated, and professional with attention to detail and a focus on exceeding expectations.

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines as required.

  • Strong interpersonal skills are required.

  • Adaptability, dependability, and attendance is a must.

  • Must posses strong written communication skills, including accurate grammar and document preparation.

  • Must be comfortable appearing on camera in a speaking role.

  • Assists with revisions to curriculum as necessary to continuously improve NEVO quality and effectiveness.

  • Collaborates effectively across multiple departments to maintain alignment and drive success.

Physical Demands

Must be able to operate two foot pedals simultaneously while driving a manual transmission vehicle. Required to carry over 50lbs at a time. Also have no physical issues that might be exacerbated in an automobile crash. The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk, and listen.

Other duties as assigned

  • NEVO SMEs may be required to travel and instruct students inside dynamic vehicles and in the classroom.

  • Applicants must be prepared to complete other non-instructing tasks.

  • Must be equipped to function in all weather conditions and be prepared to be outside for extended periods in all weather conditions.

  • NEVO SMEs must constantly develop their teaching skills.

  • Must be able to drive multiple vehicle types.

  • All SMEs are responsible for safety and must maintain safe practices and work environments.

Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of verifiable concurrent driving or driver training instruction within the past 8 years.

  • Previous road racing, rally, off-road, or stunt driving experience is desired.

Compensation

  • Wage is dependent on your current skill level and qualifications.

Job Type

  • As-needed, 1099 Contractor

Work Location

  • Hybrid remote headquartered in Richmond, Virginia.
